Yes. Many people have come up with this idea. It is not original whatsoever. Oh well.
A Faceless is the third stage of a Shadow, a young spirit torn from it's body to early in it's life. The Shadows are harmless, but they can sometimes come together and create a Demon that combines the rage and pain of the spirits and lets it loose on the land. The Faceless is a more refined stage of the Demon, one that has more control over the many emotions. It's still not something to go near, a Faceless will eat you to try and quench it's own emptiness.
Somewhat like a Hollow.
